Music programs have been eliminated from most schools. Some existing music programs have very limited resources and time and are not able to provide the quality program desired. Don’t let that stop you! Little School of Music offers classes and lessons FOR ALL AGES!
Have you ever heard this: “I want to play drums!” Just about every parent has. The truth is, they could learn to play any instrument! Learning to play an instrument is exciting and fun. What kid doesn’t want to be a rock star these days? But learning to play songs on an instrument doesn’t mean you are learning about music. There are many elements to “music”. Playing an instrument is one of them.
If you want to learn about music; melody, harmony, rhythm, how to read and write music, how to play in a band or ensemble, there is more to learn. Not too many bands have only 1 member. Learning the basics of music will help you perform on your instrument more successfully because you will have a better understanding of what it is you are doing. You can even use several different types of instruments to learn these concepts. It will be more exciting and even more fun!
Music is rewarding, builds self-confidence, and has many academic benefits for kids.
Come experience the JOY of MUSIC!
