Little School of Music – June & July 2025 Newsletter

Celebrating Growth, Milestones, and a Season of Music

As we wrapped up the first half of the year and stepped into summer, June and July brought meaningful milestones, exciting achievements, and well-earned moments of celebration. This season reminded us that progress doesn’t pause, it simply changes pace.

Events & School News

Rock Band Concerts

In June, we hosted our Summer Band Concert right here at Little School of Music, bringing students, families, and friends together for an evening of live music and celebration.

Our rock bands took the stage to share the music they’ve been working on throughout the season, demonstrating not only strong musicianship, but confidence, collaboration, and growth as ensemble players. Performing in a band setting teaches students how to listen, support one another, stay focused, and contribute to something bigger than themselves, skills that extend far beyond music.

The energy in the room was electric, and the support from families made the night even more special. Events like this remind us why performing together is such an important part of the learning process: music is meant to be shared.

Bravo to all of our band students and directors for a fantastic concert!

Summer Recitals – June 21 & 22

Our Summer Recitals were filled with joyful performances, confidence, and growth. Congratulations to all 35 students who were promoted to their next Little School of Music Achievement Level!

From first-time performers to seasoned students, each recital reflected steady progress, courage, and commitment. Thank you to our families for supporting your musicians and celebrating every step of their journey.

Royal Conservatory of Music – Spring Exams

We are proud of our students who participated in the RCM Spring Exam Session, with strong representation across:

  • Piano
  • Voice
  • Trumpet
  • Flute

These exams reflect goal-oriented learning built on strong foundations and long-term commitment. Congratulations to all participants on their dedication and hard work!

Music for Little Mozarts – Intro Classes

Our Music for Little Mozarts Intro Program welcomed new families into the world of early childhood music education through our 2-week introductory experience.

This program offers families a chance to explore how structured, joyful music learning supports confidence, coordination, and creativity, while enrolling new students for Fall 2025 classes.

A Special Personal Milestone

In July, Little School of Music celebrated a very special moment, Miss Mindy got married in Italy!
While the studio took a summer pause, the heart of the school remained strong, supported by an incredible team and community.

Summer is a powerful season in music education.

It’s a time to celebrate progress, reflect on growth, and reconnect with why we started. Whether students are practicing, listening, exploring new music, or simply taking a well-earned pause, all of it contributes to long-term development.

Progress isn’t always loud or fast, but it is always happening when students remain connected to music in some way.

Thank you for another meaningful season. I’m excited for everything ahead as we prepare for a new school year.
