Congratulations to our Little School of Music students who participated in the Royal Conservatory of Music Certificate Program! LSM has 5 Regional Gold Medalists from Fall 2019-Summer 2020!
Of the assessments from Fall 2019 through Summer 2020, 100% of our participating students achieved their RCM goals and 32% of our participants achieved First Class Honors with Distinction. This is a record accomplishment for Little School of Music!
First Class Honors with Distinction: 90–100 This standing is awarded for exceptional performances that are confident and communicative, while demonstrating technical command, insightful awareness of style, and convincing musical interpretation.
Among our participating students, FIVE received the highest mark (score) for their superior performances in the West Region. These students have been recognized by receiving the Regional Gold Medal and an invitation to perform at the prestigious Royal Conservatory of Music Celebration of Excellence Recital.

The Fall issue of the CAPMT Connect E-Journal highlighted top performing schools in the RCM Certificate Program, including Little School of Music! Thank you to @theroyalconservatoryofmusic and to CAPMT for recognizing and highlighting the efforts of our school and other neighboring music schools who work tirelessly to provide quality music programs such as RCM.
Little School of Music was highlighted as a top performing school in the Fall issue of the California Association of Professional Music Teachers (CAPMT) Connect E-Journal (Page 13). Thank you to RCM and CAPMT for recognizing and highlighting the efforts of our school and other neighboring music schools who work tirelessly to provide quality music programs such as RCM. Together we have been able to achieve great success with our music programs, including the RCM Certificate program, despite the recent challenges we’ve all been facing.
