Little School of Music is expanding as the NEW “Santa Clarita Valley School of Music” this fall. The new school is an upper school to Little School of Music for advanced music students, teens, and adults. Here are a few of the new music programs being offered:
SCV ROCK Orchestra (High School)
We are very excited to premier the newest edition to our musical community, the SCV ROCK Orchestra. Led by composer and cellist Max Muller, the SCV ROCK Orchestra will incorporate creativity, collaboration, and the uniqueness of its members with the performance of music from different rock/pop eras. Acoustic and electric instruments are welcome including: electric/acoustic violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar, keyboards, percussion, and drums. Auditions will be held on September 24th and 25th at Little School of Music. For audition information, please call 661-222-2239.
Certificate Programs (Elementary – High School)
State and National Music Certificate Programs are offered for beginners to advanced level students. Participating in Music Certificate Programs is similar to Karate belt testing as it encourages goal setting, discipline, well rounded musicianship, marks levels of achievement, and looks very impressive on college applications! If you are interested, please call: 661-222-2239
Music Theory, Improvisation & Composition (Jr. High – Adult)
For a better understanding of music, learn the basic vocabulary and fundamentals of how music is constructed through the master works of the great composers. Experiment with improvising and create your own masterpieces!
Small Ensembles (Jr. High/High School)
If you’re looking to play with others but still want to feel a sense of individuality, consider joining a small ensemble. We have qualified instructors that teach a variety of styles and instrumentations such as: string quartet, brass quintet, jazz combo, rock band, and about any other instrumentation you can put together. Playing music with others allows students to develop better listening skills, have better focus and concentration, gain a sense of importance, raise self-esteem, and allow them to participate in a corporative, positive learning environment. Ensembles must have a minimum of 4 members. Performances will be held throughout the year.
Teen & Adult Group Classes and Private Lessons (Jr. High – Adult)
It’s never too late to begin learning how to play an instrument. Group classes for teens and adults include: piano, guitar, violin, and harp. Private lessons are available for all instruments and voice. Other group classes that are being offered include:
It’s never too late! All ages are welcome to come learn music in an environment that is comfortable to you. Registration is open for all group classes, ensembles, and private lessons. Little School of Music 28306 Constellation Rd. • 661-222-2239 • www.LittleSchoolofMusic.com
