Carnegie Hall Performances: A Once-in-a-Lifetime Achievement

We began the year celebrating two extraordinary accomplishments as Erica Chan and Prabhtej Singh performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City, representing Little School of Music as Royal Conservatory of Music National Gold Medalists.

Performing on one of the most prestigious stages in the world is the result of years of focused study, consistent practice, and a deep love for music. These performances were powerful reminders that long-term commitment truly pays off, and that big dreams are built one lesson at a time.

Mountain View Elementary School Assembly: The 4 Laws of Focus

In January, our faculty rock band visited Mountain View Elementary School to present an interactive school-wide assembly titled “The 4 Laws of Focus.” Through music, rhythm, and participation, students learned how musical concepts can help improve focus, not just in music, but at school, at home, and with friends.

It was a joyful and energetic experience that showcased how music education reaches far beyond the instrument.

Watching Erica and Prabhtej perform at Carnegie Hall was deeply meaningful, not just because of the venue, but because of what their journeys represent.

There are no shortcuts to moments like these. They are built through consistency, patience, and trust in the process, the very same themes we focus on with every student, at every level. Whether a child is just beginning or preparing for major milestones, the goal is the same: steady growth, confidence, and a lifelong connection to music.

As we begin 2025, I’m grateful for our students, families, and teachers who show up week after week, even when learning feels challenging. Those moments matter, and they add up in ways that often surprise us later.

Thank you for being part of our musical community. I can’t wait to see what this year brings.
