Quiet Strength. Purposeful Leadership.
Piano & Violin · Student Since 2013

Penelope Theule grew up at Little School of Music, beginning in Music for Little Mozarts before continuing her journey through piano and violin. Through years of lessons, recitals, family performances, and steady dedication, Penelope became known not only for her musical gifts, but for the quiet strength, humility, and service-minded leadership that defines her character. Her story reminds us that true achievement is not only measured by what we accomplish, but by who we become along the way.
Some students capture your attention the moment they walk through the door.
Penelope Theule was one of those students.
She arrived at Little School of Music as a bright-eyed little girl with soft blond curls, and an excitement for music that was impossible to miss. She attended every Music for Little Mozarts class with her dad by her side, who is a wonderful singer himself, eagerly sharing in every song, every story, and every musical adventure. Then she began to sing.
Even at only five years old, Penelope possessed one of the most naturally beautiful singing voices Miss Mindy had ever heard. Her tone was effortless, her pitch remarkably pure, and somehow, even at that young age, she sang with a natural vibrato that made everyone stop and listen. It was one of those moments a teacher never forgets.
As the years passed, Penelope’s musical journey continued to unfold. While that beautiful little singing voice remains one of Miss Mindy’s favorite memories, Penelope discovered new ways to express herself through piano and eventually violin.
She continued her studies with a wonderful team of teachers who each became part of her story. John and Jean guided her through years of piano study, while Elena helped her grow into a thoughtful and expressive violinist.
Together, they nurtured not only her musical abilities, but also the confidence, discipline, and quiet determination that would become hallmarks of her character.
Today, Penelope is thoughtful and softly spoken, often allowing her music, and her actions to speak louder than words ever could. That quiet strength became one of her greatest gifts.
Beyond music, Penelope approached every part of life with the same steady commitment and determination. She graduated as valedictorian of her high school class, completing an incredible 56 college units before graduation.
She earned All-League honors in both Cross Country and Swimming while serving as captain of both teams. She also led her Civil Air Patrol squadron of more than 80 cadets, demonstrating the kind of leadership built not through recognition, but through service.
Each accomplishment tells the same story. Not of someone seeking attention… But of someone quietly committed to doing her very best.
Throughout those years, her family stood beside her every step of the way. Her parents, grandparents, brothers, and sisters became part of the Little School of Music family as well, filling recital audiences with encouragement and celebrating every milestone together. One of the audience’s favorite traditions was watching the Theule siblings perform piano ensemble pieces together, a joyful reminder that music had become something their family shared, not simply something they studied.
As the oldest sibling, Penelope naturally became someone her younger brothers and sisters admired. More than once, they shared that they hoped to be like her someday.
There may be no greater compliment.
Her mother beautifully reflects on Penelope’s remarkable journey:
“Penelope is headed to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in Connecticut to study Marine and Environmental Science and commission as an officer upon graduation. She hopes to continue her musical journey in their various on-campus ensembles throughout her college years. Penelope is grateful to her music teachers, Mindy, John, Elena, and Jean, for their investment in her.”
For Miss Mindy, Penelope’s story will always begin with that little girl in Music for Little Mozarts. “Watching her become such a thoughtful, accomplished, and service-minded young woman has been one of the greatest joys of all of us. We celebrate her awards and achievements, but even more, we celebrate the character behind them, the part of Penelope people will remember most.”
This fall, Penelope will begin an exciting new chapter at the United States Coast Guard Academy in Connecticut, where she plans to study Marine and Environmental Science before commissioning as an officer. Even there, she hopes to continue making music through the Academy’s ensembles, carrying with her the lessons music has taught throughout her life. Not just discipline. Not just perseverance. But compassion, humility, and the understanding that true leadership begins with serving others.
Congratulations, Penelope. May your quiet strength continue to inspire those around you, your music always remain close to your heart, and your example remind others that some of the strongest leaders are also the kindest.
We can’t wait to see where your journey leads. ♥️
