LSM Ribbons

LSM Achievement Levels Program

Little School of Music offers a sequential music program divided into levels to help monitor progress and celebrate student achievements. Each level is about 1-1.5 years, depending on student attendance and practice. Recognition and Certificate Programs are also offered as part of the LSM Achievement Levels Program.
  • Apprentice Ribbon - Little School of Music
    Apprentice Levels I-III (1st-3rd year students)
  • Intermediate Ribbon - Little School of Music
    Intermediate Levels I-IV (3rd-7th year students)
  • Advanced Ribbon - Little School of Music
    Advanced Levels I-IV (8th-12th year students)
  • College Prep White Ribbon - Little School of Music
    College Prep Level (10+ year students)

Brooklyn Lacy

Meet Brooklyn Lacy, one of Little School of Music’s most committed Legacy Artists. She began lessons at just 6 years old and will now be continuing her music studies in College, composing original music, and mentoring younger students. Brooklyn’s dedication is an inspiring example of what long-term music education can unlock.

Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM)

As a Founding School and the official Assessment Center for the Santa Clarita Valley since 2012, Little School of Music supports students through this comprehensive and internationally recognized program.

Students can prepare for:

  • Practical performance exams (Levels Prep-10)
  • Theory assessments (Level 5-10)
  • College application honors and auditions

RCM builds confidence, develops artistry, and gives students a benchmark to measure growth and success.

The Royal Conservatory of Music examinations provide a national standard for students, parents, and teachers to track and measure progress and achievements. Preparing for and successfully completing an examination builds self-confidence and helps students develop a sense of pride.

Meet Prabhtej Singh, an LSM Legacy Artist who was recently invited to perform at Carnegie Hall after earning the National Gold Medal Award for his Royal Conservatory Level 7 Flute exam.

Ideal for students passionate about contemporary music styles, Rockschool qualifications offer a modern approach to musicianship. Students prepare and perform iconic songs while gaining real-world skills in technique, performance, and theory.
